American Sycamore is native to the midwest and eastern US. This stately tree will provide shade and year round interest with its ornamental bark. Sycamore trees are known for their exfoliating bark, with splotches of grey and cream color. This tree can grow in a variety of sites, in nature you might find it in floodplains. Sycamores grow exceptionally large, with a broad, rounded crown. This tree is more susceptible to some foliar diseases than other cultivated varieties.
