Patten Pear is an excellent pollinator and produces a mild but flavorful pear. Patten is a European type pear with a firm texture at harvest that develops to a soft texture and sweet flavor with time. Patten Pear is late to bloom but can pollinate Summercrisp, Parker, or Juicy Jewel. Patten produces a yellow pear that ripens in late September. Patten Pear is best enjoyed fresh but can hold up to baking.
